Abstract

Electrochemical batteries are being used in various applications including UPS back-up systems, grid stability, off grid power supply. The life of battery depends on selected chemistry, charge/discharge cycles, rates (C-rate), depth of discharge (DOD) and operating temperature [1]. In this paper, the life expectancy of valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) battery used for off grid power supply application is studied operating at different temperature environment.
