It also analyzes different types of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods with algorithm. To track the maximum power of PV cell, the algorithm conjoined in a DC/DC converter is used. Finally, by using DC/AC inverter, the output voltage of DC/DC converter is regulated and synchronized with the grid. Abstract

The paper proposes an up to date design and simulation of a grid connected photovoltaic system using Simulink. A Photovoltaic (PV) cell, a DC/DC boost converter and a DC/AC inverter constitutes the system. The internal mechanism of solar cell with diagram & approximation of PV cell are described. The PV cell model is simple, precise, and takes external temperature as well as solar radiation into consideration.
