Abstract

This work addresses the observer-based feedback controller design problem for linear time-invariant systems. Here, only the discrete case will be detailed. The proposed functional observer design technique is straightforward and it uses iterative derivations that allow constructing multiple linear functions of the state vector. An illustrative numerical example is presented.
