Abstract

The text presents the reflection on the formative paths of social educators in Brazil and Portugal. In the Portuguese context, Social Educators already have the guarantee of a training course at a higher level. In Brazil, these workers are still in the process of claiming, demanding specific regulations for their profession, as well as guaranteeing their training process in a university career.
