Abstract

Intelligent antennas takes advantage of both antenna and propagation technologies. It has the potential to reduce multipath interference, increase signal to noise ratio, and introduce frequency reuse within a confined environment. Several challenges remain however in the development of intelligent antennas and one of these is the availability of efficient radiating elements interfacing with the beamformer.
