Abstract

Infant radiant warmer is widely used in neonatal wards of medical institutions to provide suitable temperature environment for infants, therefore, the key technical parameter–accuracy of irradiation distribution is essential to the treatment effect of infant radiant warmers, for the uneven distribution can lead to multiple side-effects during the treatment. This article presents the design of a novel temperature test device for the measurement of accuracy of distribution of irradiation of infant radiant warmers by studying the thermal characteristics of different materials. A measuring procedure has also been developed, the feasibility of which has been well proved by the experimental results and uncertainty analysis put forward hereby. To ensuring the repeatability of the measuring design presented in this article, a few related factors that can influence the test results have also been discussed in this article.
