Optimization of hybrid energy system is to select the best combination of the sources for the place near Vellore to get the better efficiency. The most important factor in the optimization is to get the sources in the most cheapest way i.e. cost effectiveness. HOMER is used to estimate the cost of installing and operation of resources over the life time. It also provides the best optimization result with two diesel generator, PV source, converter and battery backup. Abstract
