Abstract

The paper deals with an overview regarding the implementation of individual urban transportation using reluctance motor driven electric bicycles. Study of opportunity, state of the art in the field of electrical driven bikes and a proposed solution in the field are presented. Preliminary design of the proposed motor is described in the first pat of this paper. Also, the design the design of a PWM inverter for this motor is described together with the simulation results made with PSIM software.
