Abstract

This paper describes a new window function which is adjustable as well as enriched with linear phase response. Using a simple regulator, the new window can be altered according to need. The proposed window function is a combination of a sine and cosine function. The window function has been compared with Kaiser, Gaussian, Tukey and a window proposed by Rakshit et el. and their filters. The simulation results show that the output of the designed FIR low-pass filters reflects higher SNR value for the presented filter which is 3.4227.
