However, the interfaces of existing gateways are different and incompatible with each other, which makes difficult to achieve the requirements of heterogeneous interconnection. Therefore, this paper presents a smart integrated access gateway with modular architecture, which consists of a motherboard and multi-type user cards with pluggable functions. Different user cards can provide different communication interfaces and adapt corresponding communication protocols, by which different network customizations can be achieved in combination.
