Research on the Problem and Countermeasure for the Development of the Service Industry in China

Abstract

China's services industry has experienced an extraordinary development accompanied with the rapid development of China's economy since the reform and opening up policy in 1978. The service industry becomes important drivers of economic growth and becomes the important department to absorb the workers in China. At the same time, there are still certain problems for the service industry in China at this stage such as the proportion of total economic output is not high, a lower proportion of the employed population, regional development imbalances and other issues. In order to promote rapid and stable development of the service industry in China, we must promote the market-oriented reform, speed up the internal industrial structure adjustment and realize the importance of scientific and technological progress on raise production efficiency.
