Intolerância à Lactose

Abstract

Milk is a food that contains vitamins, proteins, ashes, carbohydrates, fats that contribute to maintaining human health. Among the carbohydrates present, it includes lactose, which is milk sugar. One of the factors that can limit the consumption of dairy products is the lactose intolerance that is a disease that manifests its symptoms when the lactose is ingested and reaches the small intestine, not being hydrolyzed, promoting symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea. The aim of the study was to carry out a review of the literature on lactose intolerance, as well as its causes and consequences.
