Abstract

The paper is devoted to developed passive technique for remote monitoring of increased radioactivity in the atmospheric emission. Characteristics of present methods for detection of radioactivity in the atmosphere are discussed. The block diagram of receiver and engineering of microwave radiometer are presented. Radiation in the frequency range of 1.4-1.8 GHz band can be used for long-range detection of increased radioactivity and recorded at a distance of 60-70 km from the enterprises of nuclear fuel cycle operating in normal mode.
