Abstract
As a study of APF (Active Power Filter) using a universal harmonic detection method, an experimental prototype of three-phase APF is built based on DSP (Digital signal processor) TMS320F2812. Based on the instantaneous reactive-power theory, the phase current is decomposed and analyzed by mathematical method and a new detecting method of harmonic and reactive currents for three-phase circuit is presented. The universal method can be used for both three-phase and single-phase APF by omitting the process of coordinate transformation which used in conventional p-q algorithm and ip-iq algorithm. Furthermore, this method can be used for either three-phase three-wire system or three-phase four-wire system. The results of simulation and experiment show that the experimental prototype can achieve harmonic current compensation effectively.
