Abstract

This index of the book Early Christian-Muslim Debate on the Unity of God: Three Christian Scholars and Their Engagement with Islamic Thought (9th Century C.E.) presents a list of names of people and places relevant to the study of the role and place of Christian authors: Abū Qurra, Abū Rāʾiṭa al-Takrītī and ʿAmmār al-Baṣrī, by examining their writings on the Trinity: analysing, in detail, the contents and style of individual works. The book focuses on individual authors, highlighting the subtle differences in their presentations of the doctrine of the Trinity. Abū Qurra's writings on the Trinity, to a greater extent than his contemporaries, are linked to his project of discerning the 'true religion'.Keywords: Early Christian-Muslim Debate; Unity of God
