However, D-CAST is not very efficient because of rough side information. In this work, we present a novel soft mobile video broadcast approach based on side information refinement algorithm (SIR-CAST) to improve the quality of the side information. Moreover, SIR-Cast optimizes the estimate of the quantifying step (Qstep) which is corresponding to the refined side information.
