Abstract

Shannon introduced error detection and correction codes to address the growing need of efficiency and reliability of code vectors. One of the structures that can generate these codes is a set of ideals of the candidate polynomial ring. Generators of codes of ideals of polynomial rings have not been fully characterized. In this research the generators of codes of the candidate polynomial ring Fn 2 [x]/〈xn − 1〉 have been investigated and characterized using lattices, simplex Hamming codes and isometries.
