Abstract
Efforts to improve survival for adenocarcinoma of the pancreas have recently been directed to preoperative chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or both. This study reports the long-term follow-up (4 to 10 years) of 20 patients with initially unresectable adenocarcinoma of the pancreas who underwent surgical resection after combined modality therapy (CMT) with simultaneous split-course radiotherapy and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), streptozocin and cisplatin (RT-FSP).
