Cheat Sheets and Padlet: a metacognitive learning tool

Abstract

This work is focused on the use of Cheat Sheets and Padlet as a new learning tool. In fact, Cheat Sheets are well-known in students´ community but not for the well-behaved reasons. But, if we extract the practical aspect of Cheat Sheets, we highlight “While doing it, I learn”. And this is the key issue of this study: is Cheat Sheets to promote learning and share them in the mural Padlet a learning tool worth investing? The tool was implemented and evaluated in three Engineering course and one course from Human Sciences, achieving 115 respondents. Overall, our results demonstrate a positive feedback from students despite gender and area of study.
