Abstract

Multicarrier systems suffer from a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAR) of their transmit signal as large signal peaks lead to power inefficiency of the amplifiers. This issue becomes even more serious in a multi-antenna transmitter. To increase power efficiency, a PAR reduction scheme must be applied at the transmitter.
