Abstract
During the past ten years, the Dahlgren Memorial Library at the Georgetown University Medical Center has designed and developed several educational software programs. The programs integrate images, text, sound and even simulation to facilitate learning and comprehension. The programs were created jointly by the library and the School of Medicine with the Office of Medical Informatics. They operate on Macintosh computers, and where possible, they were developed with similar format to facilitate use. The programs include five educational projects in varying medical disciplines and a problem-based learning series of case studies. The programs demonstrate use of different technological and imaging capabilities.
