Abstract
We demonstrated local heating in Co loaded Si plasmonic waveguides by measuring the resistance change upon inputting TM mode light. Temperature rise is proportional to the light intensity with clear polarization dependence. Local heaters in this study are applicable in a wide range of optical devices in photonic integrated circuits.
