Abstract

In this paper, analysis of asymmetrical series resonant converter (SRC) operated in continuous conduction mode (CCM) during steady state is presented by using state- plane diagram approach. Expected waveforms of inductor current and capacitor voltage can be obtained, accordingly, from state-plane diagram. The normalized load characteristics for design purpose are included in the analytical results. This paper can show that using state-plane diagram for the analysis is easy to understand and not very complicated. An example of converter design and computer simulation are also given in order to confirm the analytical results.
