With the 900 precision in-line color picture tube assembly, RCA introduces a totally new concept in color television display system utilizing an advanced design of the electron gun, the deflection yoke, and the picture tube to achieve superior performance in a simplified inherently lower-cost system. The combination of a precision unitized close-spaced in-line gun and a line-focus type PST ( precision static toroid) deflection yoke makes practical the first inherent self-converging color system.
