Abstract
This paper proposes a permission probability control scheme to reduce unfairness of service depending on the mobile locations in the up-link of CDMA cellular slotted-ALOHA systems with site diversity reception. In the proposed scheme, mobile stations control transmit permission probability based on the reception level of pilot signals from the surrounding base stations. Successful packet reception rate, fairness coefficient and throughput performance are evaluated in fading environments with imperfect power control. Computer simulation shows that the proposed scheme improves the service fairness for all mobile stations and throughput performance.
