This methodology firstly uses sensitivity method to screen the pre-switching scheme with high reliability, and then based on Newton-Raphson method to analyze in detail the transmission switching scheme which can meet the requirements of base-case system operation and reduce the active power loss of the system. The performance of the proposed methodology for transmission switching reduce system network loss is tested the IEEE300 node system. Abstract
