Abstract

In this paper evolutionary algorithms (EAs) such as genetic algorithm (GA) and differential evolution (DE) optimization are implemented for design of optimal multiloop PI controller with the minimum integral absolute error (IAE) criterion. As a case study multiloop PI control structure for binary distillation column plant described by Wood and Berry, having 2 inputs and outputs has been taken.
