Abstract

Text simplification is to transform complex text into simple and understandable text without changing sentence meaning. It can serve people with low language literacy, cognitive or language barriers, and can also be deployed to natural language processing systems for understanding many text contents. In order to solve the problem that the existing methods ignore the role of context in word simplification, a word simplification method based on Bert is studied.
