During the first acceleration the speed controller is adjusted by a method independent of the torque-speed characteristic of the drive. Stable operation is obtained even in the case of torsionally flexible coupling. Abstract

Self-commissioning is a novel feature of modern inverter-fed induction-motor drives. It is part of the software of the control system and controls the sequence of commissioning, determines the electrical and mechanical parameters of the drive, and sets the control parameters and controller coefficients accordingly.
