Infected root samples of vegetables were collected in polythene bags and brought to the laboratory. Root galls were dissected for mature females and perineal patterns were prepared from each sample. Species of root-knot nematodes were identified on the basis of perineal patterns. Two species Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica were found to be associated with vegetables crops. M. incognita was present on all the vegetables, while M. javanica was present on few vegetables. Frequency of M. incognita was greater than M. javanica.
