Abstract

A three-dimensional visual flight control simulation experiment platform based on FlightGear is designed to study the flight control of quadrotors. The simulation model and flight control algorithm are written in Matlab/Simulink. The platform’s functions include real-time display of three-dimensional flight scenes, display of flight control and corresponding processes, and display of curves of flight status variables. The simulation platform intuitively shows the correlation between mathematical variables and their physical meanings, and promotes students' understanding of control theory. In addition, the platform also has a strong openness, which can meet the needs of students to independently learn flight control theory and design control algorithms, and effectively improve the learning effect.
