Consequently, a calculation method for the lightning damage of the CFRP-metal structure that can solve the problems of the nacelle with metal materials such as metal mesh or metal connectors has been proposed. The lightning damage of the CFRP structure protected by ECF and the CRFP-metal structure are both analyzed as application models. Abstract
This paper summarizes the physical factors considered in the lightning damage research by investigating the technical progress of the lightning direct effect test and simulation of the CFRP structure.
