Vehicle weight is a major obstacle in efforts to save fuel. Vehicles must be designed in such a way that they are light in weight but without compromising their ability to drive. The weight of the Urban Concept vehicle is contributed by the engine, powertrain, body, chassis and driver's weight. The engine used must use an engine on the market (using premium/pertalite/pertamax fuel), so that weight reduction can only be done in other components. The Energy Efficient Car Contest - Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) is an annual national level fuel efficient car competition organized by the National Achievement Center - Pusat Prestasi Nasional (Pusprenas) of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in collaboration with one of the universities in Indonesia as the host.
