Abstract
Introduction: Percutaneous Coronary Intervention is a low-risk invasive treatment for patients with acute myocardial infarction which appears to improve their quality of life.
Purpose: This bibliographic review presents all the available studies published from 2000-2019 in patients with acute myocardial infarction who have undergone Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI).
Conclusions: Improvement in quality of life of patients after PCI was observed at 6 and 12 months follow-up. Assessing patients’ quality of life after PCI is an important step towards a holistic approach.
