However, studies on smart farming platforms that have been carried out are still few, therefore it is necessary to do future research on smart farming platforms. This paper presents a brief overview of smart farming platforms followed by a summary of the limitations and challenges that can be faced in the development of smart farming platforms. Abstract

Smart farming leverages modern technology to manage agriculture more effectively and efficiently. Modern technology has the potential to create new information technology services in a smart farming platform. A smart farming platform has been developed to provide information technology services for farmers to manage agriculture more effectively and efficiently, maximize crop yields, and prevent environmental pollution. However, studies on smart farming platforms that have been carried out are still few, therefore it is necessary to do future research on smart farming platforms. This paper presents a brief overview of smart farming platforms followed by a summary of the limitations and challenges that can be faced in the development of smart farming platforms. Then, this paper presents some suggestions that can be considered for future research on the research topic of smart farming platforms.
