Abstract

In this paper, the low-sidelobe pattern synthesis of range-angle-dependent frequency diverse array (FDA) is studied. Unlike the conventional phased array, the frequency diverse array employs a tiny frequency shift compared to the carrier frequency across the array elements. As the frequency diverse array (FDA) introduces additional degrees-of-freedom (DOF), the antenna pattern is rang-angle-dependent and allows the array transmit energy over a desired range or angle.
