[Traumatic fat embolism syndrome].

Abstract

After a short literary review authors analyse the clinical and pathological process of the traumatic fat embolism. They call attention to the difficult diagnosis of the syndrome and to its frequency. The demonstration of the fat globuli from the peripheric blood is suggested by the authors who perform this as a screening for an easier diagnosis--if characteristic clinical symptoms are also joined to the microscopic finding.
