Antiviral activity of interferon in serum was determined by measuring the inhibition of the CPE of vesicular stomatitis virus on bovine kidney cells (MDBK). Among these patients only 5 (12.8%) had detectable serum interferon level during the first week of hospitalization. Abstract
The occurrence of serum interferon was studied in 39 patients with acute viral hepatitis B.
