The antenna contains a triangular-shape patch fed through a microstrip line. A T-shape slot in conjunction with two Inverted-L shape slots contribute to improve impedance bandwidth and matching. For further improving the bandwidth, a defected ground plane has been used. The designed structure is a suitable choice for wireless communication systems based on size and provided impedance bandwidth. The designed dual-band slot antenna has a small size of 25×25mm2 and provides an impedance bandwidth between 3.6-4.5GHz and 5.4-6.9GHz, which are within the S and C bands, respectively.
