Abstract

Under turbulent wind conditions, the participation of wind turbines in frequency regulation not only needs to consider the demand on the load side but also the power fluctuation caused by wind conditions. This greatly increases the difficulty of wind turbines participating in grid frequency regulation. In this regard, this paper proposes a variable coefficient overspeed load shedding control strategy based on feedforward control. This strategy introduces a correction link of wind power fluctuation, so that the load shedding coefficient Kd can be periodically corrected with the change of wind speed, thereby effectively smooths wind power fluctuations.
