Abstract

In this chapter, an overview of the two PHY layers specified in the IEEE 1901-2010 standard (based on the FFT-ODFM and W-OFDM techniques) will be initially presented. Next, some performance simulations of these PHY layers will be carried out taking into account the effects caused by multipath fading channels, additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and impulsive noise.
