In this paper, a robust target detection algorithm using MEMS inertial sensors is proposed for sky-sea line detection for shipboard video system, the key idea is using the inertial data of the shipborne camera to estimate the position and angle of the sky-sea lines in the video frames, so as to achieve the accuracy of the detection area, improve the detection accuracy and reduce the interference of wave clutter. Abstract
