Abstract

This paper proposes flower pollination method implemented in multi-machine system with generalized unified power flow controller (GUPFC). Flower pollination method was used to provide parameters of two stage lead-lag controller. The controller provides supplementary signals for PSS and POD. The study was carried out to determine the stability of the multimachine power system without and with GUPFC. The results show that the addition of GUPFC optimized by proposed method is able to decrease the initial value of oscillations, overshoot, and settling time that happened.
