Case Study of Outcomes of Innovative Teaching methods adopted in Engineering Education in India

Abstract

The need of well-trained engineers is very huge in India. At present, the enterprises cannot fill all job openings even though the number of engineering institutes has increased exponentially in the last decade. The main hurdle in this is the holistic development and in particular the communication skills of the budding engineers in India. In this paper we have included case study of our institute and tried to explore the myriad ways in which these issues can be addressed. It also gives various methods and strategies for substantial improvement in students by adopting innovative teaching techniques. It also tries to throw some light on role of instructional/learning designers.
