Abstract

Numerical simulation of non-uniform profile retrieval of rain intensity was performed for operating wavelengths 0.82 and 3.2 cm and for different values of measurement errors of received powers and total attenuation. Retrieval method uses the Tikhonov regularization for solution of the integral equation of scattering and inverse iteration procedure for taking into account the signal attenuation. It is shown that proposed method provides the acceptable retrieval error (maximum is less than 40 %) for intensity more than 3 mm/h.
