Bellcore proposed arrangement-this architecture has been proposed by Bellcore as a modularized approach to network elements which could be interconnected with a typical Regional Bell Operating Company. Abstract

Personal communications service (PCS) is a term which has different meanings to different telecommunications service providers. Hence, several views of PCS have arisen as the industry begins to launch initial service offerings. The paper overviews typical interconnections between three commonly discussed PCS architectures and a typical local exchange carrier (LEC) network.
