Abstract
The IBM 1500 Instructional System is an experimental system for computer-assisted instruction, designed to administer individual programmed lessons to 32 students at once. Working through one or more teaching devices at his own instructional station, a student may follow a course quite different from, and independent of, lessons presented at other stations.
