Simulated results show that the proposed antenna gives good gains and radiation efficiencies over the operating wide bands. Abstract

In this paper slots and shorting pins loaded microstrip patch antenna is presented. The structure of microstrip antenna is circular, consisting of F-shape slots on radiating patch. And co-axial feed used to give the power to the antenna. The patch is etched on polyester substrate. The designed antenna offers −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 17.05% (at center frequency 6.45 GHz).
