Abstract

A new method is presented for tomographic image reconstruction, called "Intrinsic Transmission SPECT" or just "IntraSPECT". It simultaneously reconstructs both the attenuation map (/spl mu/) and an attenuation-compensated activity map (A), using only the SPECT projections.
