Then all thematic layers were overlaid through overlay process/method in Arc GIS environment. Five categories of groundwater potential zones, namely, good, good-moderate, moderate, moderate-poor and poor were identified and delineated. The obtained ground water potential zone map will be used to furtherance the urban and rural water supply plan in the Bangalore urban and rural areas.
